Dreams

When have you last dreamt about something? Do you still dream? Do you think you can achieve your dreams? Is dreaming a worthwhile thing these days? How many dreams have you accomplished? Does day dreaming make sense anymore? Have you accomplished one single dream of your childhood days? Are dreams bad? Why don’t you dream or do you dream?

I have stopped dreaming in life. The usual day today life just ensures that I don’t dream at all. I just live life and try to cope up with the financial pressures and society. I really don’t know why I do this but I do. I guess most of us live life just the way I am living if you accept it then you are brave else you are different. If you are different, I am glad that you are. I have not seen many guys who are different. Why I say different is not because they are genetically different or they don’t belong to human species. The fact remains that they are not following the societal norms of living life but living life on their own terms dreaming. Continue reading

Violence – Obsession?

I was going through the newspaper and there were news about communal fights between two communities in Orissa, India. There were many reports of bomb blasts in recent times at various places in India and these blasts were made by some group which upholds some cause which it thinks is right for its own people. I was just wondering how come it is right for some people and wrong for many others. If it is so is it right or wrong? These thoughts always come into my mind when I think of terrorists bombing some place or the other. If someone has to give up his own life for some reason then according to him that reason should be right in all possible ways. It will never be right for the others since everyone thinks differently. Somethings may be right for some and may not be the same for others.

Thinking deeply about the terrorist activities, the following thoughts came into my mind. Why do they indulge in these kinds of activities? The answers which I could figure out is, they get money if they carry out such activities or they believe in their principles deeply and assume whatever they do is right or they don’t like something and wish to destroy them for some reason. I could not figure out any bigger possibilities than these. Why I put money in the first is, people agree to disagree that money is evil but they badly need it and after certain level it becomes a big obsession. Nothing becomes as obsessive as money. Some people believe in their principles strongly and that becomes an addiction and whatever they do to support their belief is always right for them and they can justify the heinous acts that they do with the belief that they have. Some people just can’t stand others and instead of looking for better alternatives in life as to how to coexist with them they prefer not to have them at all in life and try to hurt them and kill them for their own good. Trekking to Siddaganga hills – Part IV

Please read the previous parts before this part.

7.00 pm

We were all tired and we started our way back to Bangalore. I was very tired and had little energy and was damn thirsty and I quenched my thirst with Aquafina as soon as I got the opportunity to gulp up the much needed water. We started our journey back and there was loads of fun in the cab with the cabbies telling their stories and checking the pictures taken by the pros. It was fun and trust me some pictures were absolutely gorgeous. I hope everyone uploads the pictures. I will upload few of them and pass on the link sometime later. Continue reading

Trekking to Siddaganga hills – Part III

Please read the previous parts before this part.

2.30 pm

It was a tiring journey and I was pretty cool and took breaks as and when I felt like taking and I was in front with the guide. He was from Gulburga and his dad was in Dubai working for a transport company and his mom was looking after the fields and he was in Tumkur for his studies. I was so happy for him. He was able to communicate in Kannada, English and Hindi. He was not good at English but that was not a problem for me. I was happy to talk to him all the distance in Kannada. He was telling me the stories of the place and Matt. I was climbing and meanwhile I was talking to other colleagues as well. I had real fun in climbing and helping others on the way. I had the pleasure of walking around and running around occasionally whenever I got a chance. The guide was very helpful and he used to laugh at times for things I used to tell him. Continue reading

We reach the destination. Siddagange betta is in Kyatsandra. We plan to have some food and pack some food and start our trekking. I had masala dosa and appy (Apple juice) to start the trek. TL packs loads of idli and we are on the way to start the trek.

12.00 pm

Trekking starts. We start the trek with photos. We had many professional photographers with high end cameras and they were busy with the photo sessions. I was very happy that after a long time I am on a trek. The last I went for a trek was two years ago with my friends who are all in US right now. I was looking forward to go for trek for a long time and this was perfect for me. I go along with everyone for some 200 meters in the beginning. There were two paths and I had chosen one and none of my colleagues thankfully came behind me. I missed being together but I had all the fun of climbing the hill. It had no path and I had to make my own path to get on top of the hill. Continue reading
