Billionaire college dropouts!

College drop outs are generally regarded as good for nothing guys. But the truth is that they are the most confident and talented souls when they are in run to transform their dreams into reality. They chase their dreams and don’t lose heart when they are bombarded with loads of difficulties and failures. I think failure is just a part of life which ensures the winners to stay there and reap the fruit. If you quit the moment you see a failure then I guess you don’t deserve to win. These college dropouts struggled their way up and they will always get up after the millionth fall.

Most of the billionaires are college dropouts. I am sure that many of the dropouts wanted to be successful in life and they followed their heart and were confident of what they were pursuing. Their vision to help fellow human beings in some way or the other led them to be where they are today. Creating a niche product and then providing excellent services to customers and treating them with great respect helped them to build a loyal customer base. They ensured that they made the life of customers very simple from their products and service.

India and her 61 years of freedom

Dear Indian all over the world,

I wish you all a Very Happy Independence Day.

I was just thinking about our independence and how we got it. Today most of us have celebrated Indian Independence.

I agree we are not as good as other nations but still I love my nation. I know that India is still a developing nation and we are making millions of mistakes. We all fall that is part of the game, only thing that is important is how soon we get up after falling. I am sure India and Indians don’t just keep falling or lie there only, after falling but in fact get up as soon as possible and move on with life. This is what it makes things wonderful.

Some issues do bother me and I do think about it such as politics, infrastructure, people and their welfare, nation’s security, terrorism, inflation and all other issues that bothers you as well. But I see this as a challenge for the nation to become a super power in the coming few years. I am sure every country which is super power today would have struggled to become one by undergoing various problems. We might not look into it in very detail but that is the truth. History is always written in such a way that it does not mention much about the sufferings and pain, it projects only the joy. I am sure that this is not the truth. No nation can claim to be prosperous without undergoing toil.

We should be proud of India for its achievement. Agreed that we are not doing great progress but we are in the right direction. I am proud to be an Indian any day. I am sure we will be a Super Power in just few years and will be self sufficient and also provide goods for other nations to help them. I always believe in sharing. The more we share, the more we obtain. This is what I have learnt and I practice the same.

Be PROUD to be an INDIAN.

Self Confidence

Self Confidence and Over Confidence are very subtle. “I can do it” is self confidence and “Only I can do it” is over confidence.

You have to believe in yourself cause the rest of your life you have to live by proving it to others.

I always keep thinking about the above quote. it is so very true. If you yourself don’t believe in you then how can you expect someone else to believe you? Whatever we do and whatever we think has to happen in our life will surely happen. Being a kid we think that we can do whatever we want to achieve in life. This is Self Confidence, I have not come across one kid who says he can’t do something. It is always possible, nothing is impossible for kids. If they decide to do something, then they do it without any hindrance since their heart and soul will be in the same direction of getting it done. But this confidence decreases as the kid becomes adult and this is partly because of the society that we live in and the rest is because of oneself, we start realizing that we can’t do certain things. Truth is We can do anytime what we want in life.

Life provides you all the opportunities to do things that you love to do. It gives you all the strength but it is you who has to decide and move on. I have come across many people who say that they have not studied properly. Whose fault is it? Many attribute it to millions of reasons. But the truth is it is themselves who are responsible and not anyone else. This is because they believed that they can’t do it and that happened.

When I was a kid, I decided to become an engineer. I was fascinated by the computer and the games that I played on it (Prince of Persia was my favorite then). Today I am an engineer. This is because I wanted to become something and my heart and soul was towards it. I worked really hard to become one. There were many obstacles but still I was not disheartened and I really moved on with my goal. I believed that I can do it and I did it.

I am sure everyone can do what they decide to do. If they think they can do it they will surely do it. It is just your self confidence that matters. It is upto “YOU” to decide what you want and when you want and how you want things in life. You will be given that you wish for in your life.

A man is what he thinks and believes he is.

Be Confident in life. All the best.

Will I buy a iPhone?

Most of the people are willing to buy the iPhone. There is nothing wrong or right about it. It is more of a status symbol than just a phone. The engineers with loads of money just wanna show off flashing their iPhone, that’s it.

Let me get into Technical stuff now. It is not to discourage you from buying the iPhone but providing you the details as it is.

1. As of now, there is no support for 3G in India and I am sure most of them are aware of it. Now what is the point in getting a iPhone which supports 3G?

2. No AD2P on the bluetooth.

A2DP technology is a new music revolution allowing you to send CD quality stereo music from one device to another without wires. A2DP is stereo music sent over Bluetooth without the hassle of plugging cables. Bluetooth Wireless Technology with A2DP technology makes mobile phones, pda’s and computers capable of streaming music directly to products such as the X5 Stereo Headset or the Sonic Portable Speakers.

The Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) is just one of the modes available for Bluetooth technology.

3. No sharing of files between phones. (Very sad)

4. No video recording. (Why on earth have a camera then!!)

5. No flash and Java support.

6. No MMS. (What is Apple thinking??)

7. Can’t use the 8GB or 16GB of space in the phone as an external storage media. (Why give so much storage in the first place then?? eh?)

8. Buy stuff from iStore. (Apple this is the biggest mistake, come on, you are in India and I am certain people are not ready to buy anything that comes in for a less price and also when we can get pirate stuff, why to pay for it in the first place eh?)

9. Only one sim per phone. (Give me a break, this is heights. If my sister or brother wants to use, he can’t change the sim. Absolutely bad :(.. How can you think Indians will approve all this eh?)

10. Services – If something goes wrong, (come on it might be a jesus phone but it is afterall a phone, things might go wrong) then you have to give it to only Apple Store and get it fixed. They will charge you dearly.

My Verdict : I won’t buy the phone. It might have great User Interface, sleek and stylish look but after two three months these features won’t still be great for me. I would like to change carriers or share music or files and all that. I am sure Jesus phone won’t allow me to do all that. Then why to pay heavily (22K or so, not sure!!) and later crib about it.

Why should you read my blog?

I had a discussion with one of my pal whom I had asked (forced) to read my blog. He is younger to me by couple of years. He was telling me that he is gaining interest in reading it and he also wants to blog his technical ideas. I was very happy.

All that I want to achieve from my blog is people should read my blog and understand the information which I want to share. I will not advice people regarding how they should financially act, all that I want to provide is some good piece of information which I collected with difficulty and my personal experiences where I made blunders. I want readers of my blog to be financially literate.

When I spoke to my friends regarding financial literacy. I got to know that not many people have. They just earn and spend. No goals nothing. It is not a good sign going forward. People should be very clear regarding their finances otherwise it will be very difficult. I wish to provide some insight to things which we overlook otherwise.

Generally Software engineers are all same. We don’t really try to get all the relevant information regarding the financial instruments, we either go by word of mouth or by some agent who convinces us. I just want to know how many people have asked details regarding the Mutual Funds that they have invested in. Do we really know who is the fund manager? Do we know his track record? Where does he invest our money in? How can our money grow? Anything????
We know nothing and we don’t even care to know anything. All that we want is some mutual fund and tax benefit for it. This is life. I want to change this scenario. Software engineers should not be an easy target to all these people, we are just a group of people who will buy anything in market without thinking much. Software engineers should be financially literate.

Achievement:
At least 100 people have changed their financial thinking after reading my blog. This is my goal to achieve and I am sure I will do it.
